I'm Marie, (Mars to those who know me!) I live in London with my lovely husband Frank, the man of my dreams, and Molly our little cat.
I have been into crafting off all kinds since early childhood, both grannies were fantastic cooks, made clothes, did crochet, knitting and embroidery. One of my earliest memories of my maternal granny, granny Greene, was her sitting and knitting tiny little vests from coloured, left over, wool to send for babies in third world countries. My lovely Mum learnt all these skills from granny and passed them to her girls!
Following a car accident 4 years ago, which was life changing for us, I am now disabled, had to give up working as a Business Analyst and have taken up baking and crafting again, particularly card making. Our dining room is my new office/craft room and am hopeful to make crafting/card making/demonstrating my new field of employment. The highlight of my crafting 'career' so far was being chosen as a member of the design team for Craftwork Cards, i love their products so its a great honour!
Health permitting, we try to spend any free time at our little house by the sea in Kent, its relaxing, the air is so fresh and best of all I can craft whilst topping up my tan (weather permitting of course!). We also enjoy time spent with family and friends, usually involves of good food and lots and lots laughter!
